On September 7, William Carey Library Orientation was held at Olivet University main campus, led by the university librarian, Mrs. Ma, who was hired Nov., 2005 and has been brought us the great help and advice.
First, expressing her gratitude for all the members who have partited in building the library, Mrs. Ma started the orientation confessing that God is already moving at this place, removing the obstacles and opening up the path for all of the libraries one by one. Right after that, Mrs. Ma introduced the policies including the library services and circulation, course reserve policy and the plans for the future.
While Mrs. Ma gave an overview of William Carey Library with emphasis on the services provided by the physical libraries, the head of the Office of Information System William Wong gave a presentation on the e-library system, which consists of articles, e-books, audios, sermons, electronic Bibles, and photos.
After these presentations, the orientation proceeded in a walking tour through the main library on the first floor and the various libraries located in the basement, which are expected to be completed by the end of September.
